Challenge
The customer is into Sea Food Manufacturing facility based out in Maharashtra .They are having entire IT infra setup on premises & customer is having presence across PAN India. They having complex IT setup with SAP, non-SAP multiple Applications servers. Productions servers are hosted on standalone physical mode with Windows 2012 & win 2016, few servers running in Hyper V Hypervisor, Power VM with AIX operating system, SAP HANA Production. Non-production severs deployed with Suse Hypervisor with Suse Linux operating system. Due to this complex system they are taking individual manual backup with different application & different hardware like LTO, server & Storage which is very difficult to manage as well as time consuming.Additionally, the organization wanted to improve the reliability and security of their database while still maintaining primary control of its internal infrastructure. “Our selection of CludoBits was in part a result of their approach to solutions having an appropriate return in investment,” said the organization’s IT Head. “They approached the project like a business partner (rather than sales) and engaged us in conversation to get to the best solution.”

Solution
To address the organization’s issues, CludoBits first understand the bottleneck of entire setup & complex IT Infra, CludoBits suggested industry proven VERITAS NetBackup which is capacity based backup solutions with Azure cloud storage for second copy of data backup. . This Veritas backup solution covered unlimited media server, unlimited master server and unlimited client with DE duplication feature.
We have deployed VERITAS s Master server in their existing dedicated server which having enough storage space for all data backup for first copy & also deployed storage container on Azure cloud for second copy. We have also implemented VERITAS media servers in remote locations & kept first copy in on premises & another copy on Azure cloud. Now entire setup backup is happen automatically as per scheduled. Now customers just monitor the backups & they are quite happy for this solution & relax as critical data is secure on both location
Technical Speaking
Veritas NetBackup is implemented as a primary tool in the organization for backing a huge landscape of AIX , Unix and Windows machines. This includes Oracle, DB2 and SQL Databases.
The overall capacity of front end data is close to 1 Petabytes scaling across DC & DR location in 2 different regions. They act as a primary and secondary to each other.
We mainly looked at a trusted long timer in the market to be able to invest to ensure the solution is proven to be trusted.
